Our currently funded projects reach County Durham and South Tyneside, get in touch for details. ‘Little Legs’ with sessions for children in Wheatly Hill message james@legscreativearts.com for availability and timetable and ‘Every-body Active’ which is a brand-new project funded by Sport England. We’re delivering a project of fitness and dance to people aged 18-25 years old who live with a disability, with sessions in Temple Park Centre in South Shields and Hebburn Central in Hebburn.

Our funded projects ‘Dancing Legs’ and ‘Little Legs’ will run until 15th of December and resume their delivery in January 2024. We are forever grateful for the opportunity to work with our wonderful communities supporting them at the earliest possible stage and improving the quality of lives. We are excited to see what 2024 will bring but for now Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

‘Be You!' we’re so proud of the work we have been doing thanks to the NHS Community Mental Health fund. We have been working with so many great schools and venues including Hopewood Academy and Aycliffe School and we’re beginning another set of our sessions just after Easter in Durham Trinity School continuing to support children and teenagers with disabilities and learning difficulties with dance provision.

We're excited to see what new projects and ventures 2023 will bring! We're motivated to continue our work in the community, encouraging and promoting creativity across the Northeast! Hoping that this year we'll extend our reach even further and work with more and more wonderful people in our local communities! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our team at Legs Creative Arts CIC! We'd like to wish everyone peaceful preparations and lovely festivities. Our ongoing projects have their final sessions this week, with the office closing on 16th of December. We will be reopening and resuming our delivery from Monday 9th of January.

Temple Park sessions
We are excited to continue our delivery of the Operation Payback funded project. Sessions for children aged 7-15 years old every Friday 4pm at Temple Park in South Shields. Our lovely instructors will be providing a range of different dance and fitness activities. All children welcome!

NHS 'Be You'
Following the news about getting the NHS Community Mental Health & Learning Disability Connector Grand we are excited to announce that the first sessions will be starting 13th of September at Hope Wood Academy every Tuesday 1pm. We are looking forward to begin our work and hopefully bring joy and creativity to many children in the area!

New Project With NHS
We will be soon delivering a new project of dance and fitness aimed at young people with disability in County Durham thanks to the NHS Community Mental Health & Learning Disability Connector Grand. ‘Be You!’ will start its delivery in July. Operation Payback
Thanks to Northumbria Police and the Operation Payback Fund we are delighted to announce that we will be delivering a programme of diversionary fitness activities to help tackle anti-social behaviour and youth disorder. We will be offering these sessions from Hebburn Central Leisure Centre, and the activities will be for young people who reside within South Tyneside area. We are looking forward to continue to make a change in our community!
We have been awarded with funding from the Arts Council’s Let’s Create Jubilee Fund to ensure that creativity plays an important role in local community celebrations for Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The Let’s Create Jubilee Fund will ensure that thousands of people from communities across England will have the opportunity to take part in exciting creative events – all in celebration of the Platinum Jubilee. From puppetry and story creation, through to making crowns, carnival and art trails, there will be a huge range of exciting activities for people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in. We will deliver our multi-cultural Let’s Create workshops working with the children form Overfields Primary school in Middlesborough, culminating in a dance performance for the Queen’s Jubilee.
